Red wine on a light-coloured carpet
What we walk into
A spill on a pale carpet that somebody has already worked on with a store-bought spotter. That second part is usually the problem: most of those products leave a residue behind, and some of them set the tannins for good.
What we do
An oxidising pre-treatment to break the tannins down, then the truck-mounted rig flushes the area and pulls it straight back out. Twice if the spot needs it. Then we groom the pile so it dries the same direction as the rest of the room.
What you get
On most wine spills the colour comes out and the spot dries without a ring or a change in texture. A spill that has been scrubbed hard enough to distort the pile is a different conversation, and we will tell you that before we start rather than after.
